Multiple field labels can make up a page layout that is assignable to departments / groups. In addition to managing field labels, each user of your LogixCRM can also be empowered by admins to create, delete, update, or assign page layouts to members in a lower hierarchy.
Those who are assigned with a page layout are able to view the data of leads / accounts / opportunities presented in columns of field labels or data modules that are added to the page layout. They cannot view data other than the assigned page layouts.
There is a default page layout, My View, available for each user. Aside from that, you can create numerous custom page layout for your users. Follow the instructions below.
1. Go to Setup > Leads (or Accounts, Opportunities) > Page Layout.
2. Click Add Layout in the top right corner. If you are creating a brand-new page layout, simply name the layout. If you are creating a new page layout out of an existing one, you can choose a desired existing layout.
3. Then click Save and Next to continue.
4. If you are creating a brand-new page layout, a few must-have field labels are listed beforehand in the Default Section, and they are the required and essential information.
• Layout Name
Double click the name to revise it.
• Tools / Fields / Sections / Modules
Select one to bring up field labels or pertinent options. Click and hold an available field label or option to drag to the Default Section or to a customized new section. To delete an available field label or option from the layout section, drag it back to the pertinent options on the right pane.
• Preview
After dragging the field labels or options you need, you can preview the current page layout. To go back to edit the layout, simply click Tools / Fields / Sections / Modules.
• Save
After setting up the page layout, click to save all the designed content.
• Cancel
Click to abort all the changes.
After creating page layouts, you must assign them to your users per their functions and roles. Follow the steps below.
1. Go to Setup > Leads (or Accounts, Opportunities) > Page Layout, and click Page Layout Assignment. The example below is Accounts and its theme color is blue.
2. Select a page layout from the drop-down list on the right and assign for each department / group.
3. Click Save after you finish assigning page layouts.
In the circumstance, your users will be able to see the assigned layout content. Take for the user Yana Tyler, belonging to the Global team, as an example. The Account page she sees would be the page layout of Default-3.
The Accounts page layout assigned for the groups under the Global Team is For Sales.
You can also create a new page layout based on the existing layouts after you have created some. Select from the drop-down list of Existing Layout, give it a name, and click Save and Next.
Click the pen icon to revise a page layout. Click the rubbish bin icon to delete a layout.
