Notifications or trigger emails are component of email marketing and are automatically sent and prompted as behavioral emails or transactional emails. Set up email templates and allow your users to use the pre-set triggers.
Go to Setup > Email Communications > Email Template. The departmental structure below gives you a quick view of your departmental structure to share the email templates and folders to your users.
You can click Hide Departments to collapse the departmental structure and click it again to expand it when necessary.
Use folders to manage different sorts of templates, give folder access permission to specified users and share with different groups per the reactions that your marketing requires.
Click Edit My Folders > New Folder to create a new folder, name the folder, and click Save.
To delete a folder, click the icon and click Save.
Now you can create email templates under folders.
Numerous templates can be created under a folder. If there are multiple folders, ensure that you create a template at the right folder.
1. Hover the cursor over a folder and when it turns into a pointing hand icon, click to open the folder. The folder will be shown as opened.
2. Click Templates to open the section and click Add New Template to create a new email template under the selected folder.
3. Fill in all the required blanks.
• Folder
Select a desired folder to allocate the template.
• Email Template Name
Create a template name according to the purpose of the template.
• Email Template API Name
Give a unique API name to make the email template name recognizable and functional in your LogixCRM. The name shall not include any space; instead, replace spaces using underscores.
• Description
Optionally describe the anything about the template for your own record.
• Category
Categorize the email template for the purpose of triggering pertinent workflows for leads / accounts / opportunities. The general category allows the template to apply to all the three types of your clients.
• Select Field
The selectable data fields originate from default field labels for leads / accounts / opportunities. Add one or multiple data fields into the content of the email template as variants. The data fields function as variants and will vary per actual client data. Take the data field Last Name as an example. If you select Last Name and add it after the opening of the email template “Dear”, it will vary with each client’s last name when the template is trigged and sent to various clients.
• Field Value
When you select a field label, its field value will appear on the right of Select Field and will be added to where your cursor is in the content input area.

Create the content of the email template here. There are basic editing tools above the blank area, and it’ll be like you are editing an email message.
4. After you create a template, it shall be listed in the Templates section.
To apply your email templates properly, granting permissions of template folders is important.
1. Hover the cursor over a folder and when it turns into a pointing hand icon, click to open the folder.
2. Click Permission Setting to expand the section.
3. Click Add New User in the Permission Setting section. The departmental structure will show up in this section. Select a department / group and double click the desired users to add to the Permission to Access section.
4. Click Save to save changes.

To arrange the sequence of folders, hover the cursor onto a folder icon and the cursor turns into an arrow cross , now you can move the folder back and forth.

5. The folder that you have granted permissions to users will show a bracketed right arrow, indicating the folder has been shared with other users, such as the Folder-1.
