Building custom search results

You can define the data to display for users searching for leads, accounts, and opportunities in the LogixCRM. Configure your own search layout and perform Fuzzy Search or Phrase Match. Fuzzy search means to find strings that match pattern approximately. Phrase match uses a keyword matching algorithm to search for information that match with a phrase that you designate.
Follow the steps below to set up custom columns.
1. Click Setup in the top right corner to bring up the navigation pane on the left.
2. Click Settings > Search Layout on the left pane.
3. Choose a desired section of leads, accounts, or opportunities and click Edit Column to set up custom columns.
5. Then click OK to complete editing. The configured columns for leads are successfully updated as below.
6. Do likewise to configure the columns for accounts and opportunities.
The following is an example of fuzzy searching for the account name “Darren”.
4. Search on the left, select the desired data field(s) and click the right arrow to move it to the Selected Fields pane. Up to 10 data fields can be selected at a time.
To change the sequence of the selected data fields, select and long click a data field; as the cursor turns into an arrow cross , you can move it up or down. To delete a data field from the right pane, simply click the left arrow to put it back to the list on the left.
7. After configuring the search layout, use the search function to see what the search results will look like. Locate the search bar in the top right corner in the LogixCRM, click the down arrow to expand the drop-down list, and choose either Fuzzy Search or Phrase Match.
